I had a good day!

Besides having blisters on my feet and showing up to two places with my group that were closed, today was a good day. Today I now feel comfortable here. I'm getting used to things and I'm getting into my routine. This city is loud, busy, dirty and hectic but it's pretty cool.

Today when I left the apartment, I took a picture. A woman apologized to me because she thought she got in the picture. When I started to respond she realized I was a foreigner. She asked me if I was from the U.S and I said yes. I asked her if she thought I was from here and she said yes but once I spoke she could tell I wasn't. It felt awesome thinking that she thought I was from here. She said she could see my latin american heritage in my face, that I spoke well and then wished me well. What a morning! :)
